They priced the middle/lower middle class out. Keep adding options we don’t want or need. Good decade to run a mechanic shop.

Oh boohoo… Maybe the auto makers will have to start to become more beholden to the customer

Ahh yes, the feds said they’d subsidize the car makers and they started splurging into this industry without actually taking the customers wallets into consideration.

They just need to add a small generator for EVs and update the battery tech. You get the best of all worlds and if you tweek battery tech/BMS it could be perfect.

EV's are a side step, not an upgrade, with their own significant pro's & cons…. And what's the point in paying loads of $$$ for a new car if it isn't an upgrade?

The problem is the price. Give a 300 miles EV with fast charging under 30k. I am buying EV. I am buying an appliance

You’re telling me ev platforms were cheaper to make and those savings weren’t passed on to consumers but instead received higher markups than the gas powered equivalents? Yea no wonder ev sales are dropping. Desire for profits is destroying the ev car market.

Germany has faced a vehicle overproduction issue for years, so it's understandable and reasonable for companies like Volkswagen to reduce production after decades of global sales.

If you can't build a modest EV for <$40k, they will not sell in volume.

Trying to force people to switch to ev in a time when we dont have the infrastructure for common every day electricity use is idiotic. I live in an area where we have regular electricity use limitations and brown outs. People have bought ev's then have been told they can only charge them during specific times. And then they get charges high elect prices. couple that with the high vehicle prices and high vehicle repair costs, it's obvious the people are not gonna buy…
