Unleashing Exciting New Discoveries at Red Mountain Lithium Project – Check Out the Latest Rock Chip Results in USA!

Exciting Discovery at Red Mountain Lithium Project in Nevada

Exploration at the Red Mountain Lithium Project in Nevada, USA, reveals a promising new zone of lithium-rich clay rocks. Astute Metals NL (ASX: ASE) is thrilled to share the results of recent geological mapping and rock chip sampling, highlighting the discovery of a new lithium-bearing clay-rich zone known as ‘Unit J’.

Key Highlights:

  1. Detailed geological mapping conducted by expert Professor Phillip Gans of the University of California Santa Barbara.
  2. Identification of two priority clay-rich and lithium-hosting rock units at Red Mountain.
  3. Rock-chip sampling within ‘Unit J’ reveals a broad zone of mineralization with lithium grades reaching up to 2,100ppm.
  4. Excellent exploration potential in the untapped area of the project.
  5. Continuous ‘Unit O’ trending north-south will support the upcoming Exploration Target.

Crafted as the most clay-rich rock type, ‘Unit J’ has shown significant lithium mineralization potential, as evidenced by the assay results from 13 samples. The mapping efforts also pinpointed ‘Unit O’, a silt and sandstone unit with clay-rich horizons extending across a 7.8km stretch.

Astute’s Chairman, Tony Leibowitz, shared his enthusiasm, stating, “With expert advice, we continue to advance the Red Mountain Project systematically. This latest discovery elevates the project’s potential, paving the way for a maiden Mineral Resource Estimate in the second half of 2025.”

Impressive Geological Setting:

Located in central-eastern Nevada, the Red Mountain Project boasts tertiary lacustrine sedimentary rocks akin to other lithium-rich regions in Nevada. Extensive surface sampling campaigns have confirmed lithium mineralization in soils and bedrock, with exceptional grades reported.

With 13 drill holes already in place, Astute’s exploration endeavors have yielded positive results, showcasing strong lithium mineralization in each hole. Leachability tests on mineralized material further indicate high lithium recoverability, bolstering the project’s viability.

In conclusion, Astute Metals NL’s progress at the Red Mountain Lithium Project brings forth exciting prospects for future exploration and resource estimation. The newfound lithium-rich zone and continuous mineralized units position the project strategically for further development and success in the lithium market.
