Jeremiah Farley, the team captain of The Rock Christian School and the Most Outstanding Student in the Speed Round of the Final, shared his excitement about participating in the competition. Reflecting on his journey from a spectator last year to a competitor this year, Jeremiah expressed his newfound love for Math and the thrill of the competition.

Republic Bank’s generous cash prizes for the top schools and students added an extra layer of excitement to the event. The launch of the RightStart Savings Challenge, "Do The Math – Save 20, Get 20!" aimed to blend mathematical skills with financial literacy concepts, encouraging students to develop sound saving habits from a young age.

The challenge, spanning from January to March 2025, incentivized semi-finalists to save $1 a day, with the opportunity to earn additional rewards based on their saving habits. This initiative aimed to demonstrate that Math goes beyond numbers on a page, instilling practical decision-making skills that benefit students in the long run.

Dr. Ramona Archer-Bradshaw, the Chief Education Officer, highlighted the transformative impact of such contests on the teaching and learning of Mathematics. Stirred by the enthusiasm and talent displayed at the competition, she expressed optimism about embracing new approaches to Math education based on global challenges and research findings in the discipline.
