I put 238k on OTM call options before the last GOOG earnings and made 302k. Expiration dates were varied and went out 3 months. I don't recommend anyone do what I did unless you can handle losing a quarter million USD.

I mainly trade 0 dte index options but i scalp and my trades are usually less than 10 minutes. The longer i hold the bigger chance of losing. During mid day you can buy a spx option for around $200 that is the equivalent of buying 300 to 400 shares of SPY but your risk is capped at the $200 entry price. So a $1.00 move on SPY or $10 move on SPX can make you $300 to 400. So.for a max loss of $200 in this example you are trading near $240,000 worth of SPY with a max loss of $200! If you have a setup and patience, there has never been a better time to trade.
