Get ready for an unprecedented event as the Courtesy Garage Pic O De Crop Finals approaches with an exciting lineup of talented performers. Breaking barriers and making history, first-timer Mr. Deejay will grace the stage at the National Botanical Gardens on August 2, 2024, at 8 pm, showcasing his exceptional skills and becoming the first visually-impaired contestant to reach the Finals, as revealed by the National Cultural Foundation (NCF).

The draw for the Finals took place at Courtesy’s Wildey showroom, where the sleek 2024 Nissan E Power X-Trail was on display, adding to the anticipation of the event. No switches were made, and the order of appearance for the Finals is as follows:

The reigning Monarch iWeb, unable to attend the draw, will perform at No. 15, with his manager, Brian Corbin, present to pick on his behalf. Other finalists, tent managers, relatives, and well-wishers were in attendance, adding to the excitement and support for the event.

This year’s winner of the Courtesy Garage Pic O De Crop Competition will have the chance to drive away with a brand new Nissan vehicle valued at $136,000 or opt for $100,000 in cash. Additional prizes include:

  • $40,000 for second place
  • $20,000 for third place
  • $15,000 for fourth place
  • $10,000 for fifth place
  • $8,000 for sixth to tenth place
  • $6,000 for eleventh to nineteenth place

Moreover, every contestant will receive an appearance fee of $1,500, adding to the rewards and recognition for their hard work and dedication.

As the excitement builds for the Finals, NCF CEO Carol Roberts announced that the event will be streamed for free to all Barbadians, marking a special gift for the 50th anniversary of Crop Over.
