So, Bush originally appointed him to the Superior Court of DC in 2002, and Obama nominated him in 2010 to the US District Court for DC (his current role). Two different court systems. I don't see the fact check. This judge presided over many of the J6 defendants, sending many of them to jail for years on the charge of parading or trespassing – not insurrection. Due process is the cornerstone of any free society. Without it, the public is subject to the whims of whatever party is in power. And maybe 60% of the injunctions are against trump for the reason he is violating the law. His word is not the final word, thats the essence of checks and balances.

Okay, but this is the annoying thing about “politics” – it’s gotta be about what party you’re a member of, and not what your own, individual opinions are.But I’ll also say this:
The whole point of making things difficult, by letting different parts of the government check each other like this, was specifically so we couldn’t go wildly in any direction very quickly.
Good changes may be slow, but the idea is the bad changes won’t be impossibly fast.
Cutting education isn’t the best way to make sure the voting public understands this, though. 💙 -
