Exciting News from Allup Silica: New Directors Bring Wealth of Experience
Allup Silica Limited (ASX: APS), known for its innovative strides in the mineral sands industry, is thrilled to announce the addition of two seasoned Directors to its Board. These new members have an impressive track record of funding operations exceeding $2 billion and successfully managing the development, construction, and operation of three VHM sand mines across Australia and Africa in the past two decades.
Key Highlights:
- Mr. Peter Secker will join as a Non-Executive Director, bringing his extensive expertise in sands from operating the Cooljarloo Mineral Sands Mine with Tiwest in WA.
- Mr. Simon Finnis will take on the role of Managing Director starting August 16, 2024. With over a decade of experience in mineral sands, Simon has a commendable history with projects like the Pooncarie Mineral Sands Project in NSW and the Grand Cote Mineral Sands Project in Senegal, West Africa.
The Company is set to kick off a Pre-Feasibility Study on the McLaren project, capitalizing on the ongoing strong market demand for VHM. This demand is anticipated to persist due to supply deficits from mine closures and limited new projects entering the market.
