Conflict of interest issues with Musk?
Does he have the political experience to deal with congressional committees? Can he tell members of congress that they will be losing jobs in their districts and then ask them for more funding? -

Will he support JPL missions and repair the Deep Space Network?

Thank god. Just because you were an Astronaut and Senator does not make you the right choice.

Bill Nelson stated "there is one human-rated spacecraft that is flying and that has already flown beyond the Moon, further than any other human-rated spacecraft and that's the SLS (Space Launch System) combined with Orion." SLS is operational. Space X's Starship is not yet operational because it is still under development and undergoing a series of test flights. When will Starship Human Lander be ready? When it is operational and human-rated, then we can discuss using its potential amazing capabilities!

The Goal: Can NASA and its Artemis industry partners, including SpaceX (Human Lander), Axiom Space (Space Suits), Blue Origin (Back-up Human Lander), Boeing (STS), Lockheed Martin (Orion), and European Space Agency or ESA (Orion’s Service Module), land the Artemis 3 crewed mission (the United States and its partners) on the lunar south pole before China?
