Massive Excitement as Allup Gears Up to Strike Gold at McLaren Mineral Sands – Get the Inside Scoop!

Introducing Allup Silica Limited (ASX: APS), a company thrilled to share the latest updates on its McLaren Valuable Heavy Mineral Sands (VHMS) Project in WA. The journey towards advancing the development of this project is marked by significant milestones and promising results. Here’s a closer look at the progress:

  1. IHC Mining Consultants Leading the Way
    • IHC Mining Consultants (IHC) has kickstarted the McLaren Mineral Sands Pre-Feasibility Study (PFS) engineering design.
    • The initial design scope revolves around a 10Mtpa throughput aiming to produce up to 400,000tpa of ilmenite products.
  2. Infill Drilling Program
    • Allup is gearing up to initiate an infill drilling program at McLaren in Q4, 2024.
    • Environmental Resources Management (ERM) has been appointed to plan the drilling program and update the Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) post receiving drilling results.
  3. Previous Metallurgical Test Work
    • The 2018 metallurgical test work conducted by IHC Competent Persons demonstrated promising ilmenite recoveries using a conventional mineral sands flowsheet.
  4. Upcoming Milestones
    • The completion of the PFS is expected during Q2, 2025.
    • Allup aims to leverage past work to expedite the PFS completion, with IHC Mining Consultants leading the charge.
    • A drilling program planned for Q4, CY24 will provide updated MRE in early 2025 and explore resource expansion possibilities.
  5. IHC Metallurgical Testwork Results
    • In 2018, IHC conducted a testwork program on a 14-tonne bulk sample from the McLaren deposit, revealing favorable findings.
    • The testwork confirmed the material’s compatibility with standard mineral sands processing methodologies, showcasing potential for high-quality products.
  6. Flowsheet Development
    • The conceptual flowsheet developed by IHC in 2018 utilizing traditional mineral sands separation techniques highlights three key circuits:
      • Feed Preparation for settling and separation.
      • Wet Concentration Plant (WCP) for gravity separation.
      • Concentrate Upgrade Plant (CUP) for further processing.

Allup Silica Limited forges ahead with unwavering determination and a strategic vision to unlock the full potential of the McLaren VHMS Project. Stay tuned for more exciting developments in the world of heavy mineral sands exploration.
