Archer Aviation, a pioneer in the electric air-taxi industry, made headlines recently when a joint venture between Japan Airlines and Sumitomo Corp secured the right to order up to 100 of their cutting-edge electric air-taxis, totaling a whopping $500 million. The joint venture, known as Soracle, expressed their interest in the deal, which would involve pre-delivery payments based on Archer meeting specific milestones prior to aircraft delivery, as per the official statement released by the companies.

Amidst this ambitious venture, Soracle has committed a substantial “seven-digit” pre-delivery payment to solidify their partnership with Archer.
