I think investors should always put their cash to work, especially In 2025, we'll start to see more market diversification. I'm hoping to invest about $350k of my savings in stocks against next year. Hope to make millions in 2025

💡 the brokerage account definitely is a game changer. It allows you to be able to afford cars and house before the retirement age of 59 and a half.

I feel investors should focus on under-the-radar stocks, considering the current rollercoaster nature of the stock market, Because 35% of my $270k portfolio comprises plummeting stocks that were once revered…. I don't know where to go here out of devastation.

It's enticing to consider purchasing some stocks in this bull run. I'm contemplating investing more than $300k for retirement. While the bull run can generate short-term excitement, i also need long-term investment strategy

First the financial advisor bots, now the crypto rug-pull bots. If anyone sees this, NEVER buy based on what the comments section is promoting. Always do your personal research because the few hours you spend up front and through the years is always worth the potential to avoid or mitigate your losses.

At twenty years old my parents told me to treat investing for retirement as if it was a bill you are going to have to pay every month.
This was thirty six years ago.
When the dow traded at around 2900 and the NASDAQ and S&P were trading in triple digits. -

You're not going to $20 a week your way to being a millionaire. Also, a brokerage account isn't the way to get started investing.

As a passive investor, is it wise to buy market tracking index funds and ETFs from companies like Blackrock, Vanguard and State Street, even when they're at all time highs? i want to invest around 600k for retirement

Successful investing is hard work because it means disciplining your mind to do the opposite of human nature. Buying during a panic, selling during euphoria, and holding on when you are bored and just craving a little action. Investing is 5% intellect and 95% temperament.

Peter Lynch "Learn to Earn"
This is a very important and real topic. Ashley Fox nailed this and it is a topic that I have given a lot of thought to as I got older. Why do schools teach subjects like home economics and industrial arts, but neglect critical topics like personal finance and taxes. To address this gap, I approached the issue with my children in the following way:
At a certain age, I sat down with each of my three children individually and made a deal with them. They had to read the book "Learn to Earn" by Peter Lynch, and we would sit down two or three times to discuss its content. (While the book may be viewed as bit dated, its fundamental concepts are still highly relevant and it is an easy read.)
If they fulfilled this requirement, I promised to give them a certain amount of money, which they needed to use to open an investment account. They then set up a few ETF payment plans and ensured that a portion of their income or earnings went into that account. This was my way of introducing them to the topic of personal finance. Additionally, I encouraged them to open a second savings account for discretionary spending, the "buy fun stuff or go on vacation" account, with the understanding that the main investment account was more or less taboo.
For two of my children, this approach has worked very well; for the third, not as well, but at least he is saving some money. What I found crucial was ensuring they understood they did not need to become financial geniuses or grasp the complexities of the stock market. The key takeaway was that saving money is a form of investment, and it is wise to start this habit early in life and continue with it.
