So, I work remotely, and my main health insurance is in a different state. The insurer says they contract with a local BCBS office to negotiate rates in my state. But here’s the kicker – I can’t get any cost estimates for services, labs, doctors, bloodwork… basically anything healthcare related. The insurer doesn’t have the info, and I can’t contact the local BCBS branch they work with either. Even my doctor and the lab where I want to get bloodwork done don’t have this cost info.
