Hi Money Minder,
I’ve been banking with Chase for 2 years now and also have a Child support account that I haven’t touched. I’m looking to move out before or during my junior year and could really use some financial advice on saving and growing my money. Right now, I’m doing an internship and planning on keeping it during the school year, so I’ll have some extra cash coming in and my living expenses are pretty low.
Thanks for any help you can provide!
Sincerely,
Money Saver Bob
Farewell, Money Minder!
Response from THE MONEY MINDER:
Hello There,
Thank you for sharing your situation with us. It’s great to hear that you’re looking to save and grow your money wisely, especially during your junior year and with an internship lined up.
Given your low living expenses and incoming money, one of the best ways to save and grow your money is to create a budget plan. Start by tracking your expenses and identifying areas where you can cut back or optimize. Consider setting up automatic transfers from your checking account to a savings account at Chase, where you can earn a competitive interest rate on your funds.
Since you mentioned having a Child Support account, consider consulting a financial advisor to discuss investment options tailored to your goals and risk tolerance. They can provide personalized advice on how to make the most of your funds and ensure your money is working for you effectively.
Additionally, continue to prioritize saving a portion of your income regularly, even if it’s a small amount. Building the habit of saving now will set you up for financial success in the future. Keep an eye on your spending habits and make adjustments as needed to stay on track with your financial goals.
If you have any specific financial questions or need further guidance, please feel free to reach out. Remember, the key is to be proactive and intentional with your money management. Best of luck with your savings journey, and we’re here to support you along the way.
Farewell from THE MONEY MINDER.
