I was homeless, did drugs, went into prison, where I got to know God. He changed my life. Now I have a home, a wife and a lovely year old daughter (zoe), and a stream of income that gats me $47,000 weekly. Plus a new identity – a child of God, Hallelujah!!!πΊπ²β£οΈβ₯οΈβ€οΈ

I donβt really pay attention to the candidates or what they do or promise.
I usually listen to sports stars for political views.
Celebrities for congress and celebrity chefs for senate seats. -

Ahhh, moneyπ’ concept im still trying to incorporate into my daily life (using fancy words but not knowing if in a correct way- much like politicians). From what I understand, itβs what you need to get to power to get more of it? In any case, it doesnβt seem to to work for me: whenever I spend money I get less π€

There NEEDS to be a spending limit, and stronger limitations on advertising standards for political campaigns.
In the UK, campaign signs aren't even allowed to be kept up for more than 2 weeks past an election, TV adverts are outright banned outside of very specific Party Political Broadcasts, and spending is limited to Β£30m in general elections.

Surely these billionaries are donating because they support the candidate/party and not because they expect something in return.

Your country is so broken. Of course you cant tax the wealthy. They pay to get you elected. Its a stupid system if you need money from donors in order to get elected. Thats not the way things work here in Scandinavia.

The money that Kamala raised on her first day was supposed to be Biden's money. It's technically illegal.

In India , Politicians and Political Party acknowledging getting Money from Corporate is a Bad Reputation.
Even the Feudalist Party BJP won't admit it.Meanwhile , USA political Parties compete in this Field …. It's Corporate Money Laundering-Lobbying is a Legalized Corruption.

The democrats usually out-spend republicans, and they do so in nearly all this years competitive senate races. They will buy this election too if the people don't stand up for their freedoms.

Wow! The media acknowledging that money is at the center of American politics is a rare occurrence. If you were to say this on CNN or MSDNC you would be called a conspiracy theorist and would never be allowed back on the air. The only thing wrong with this video is when the reporter said that politicians "may" prioritize the interests of donors, they 100% prioritize donors.

We have been a donor owned plutocracy since 1996. Contributions and donations to campaign PACs and Super PACs is just speak for bribes. Those existed since the 80s. In 2010 and 2012, these donations and contributions were ruled legal, secret, and unlimited by the SCOTUS. So, our nation is run on a system of legal, secret, and unlimited bribes. This means that the GOP, Democratic, and Libertarian parties are owned and operated by the donors. Those same donors own our whole electoral process. Like I wrote, we have been a donor owned plutocracy since 1996. Our representative form of democracy was supplanted by donor money. Bill Clinton was the chief architect of this donor owned plutocracy. He made $150 million by selling out our nation to the robber barons.

Quote Of The Day: Question πββοΈ How can @TheDemocrats speak about Preserving and Champion Democracy when they do underhanded tactics such as suing to keep @RobertKennedyJr off the Ballot? Democrats canβt champion democracy when they do nonsense like this.

You really oversimplified the part about spending groups. Itβs not just individuals, PACs, and super PACs, there are entities like 501c4s that have a massive amount of influence as well

14.4 billion US Dollar raised in the 2020 elections. Imagine what could be done with that money for the sake of the country. Limits on campaign spending need to be put into place.

It's democracy and therefore everything can be bought out in a constitutional republic.π
