This guy conveniently doesn't mention that when Putin got to power, oil price skyrocketed, which is the real reason why he managed to put the country back on track. It's the same that Chavez did in Venezuela and he also managed to make the country grow for 10 years. The IMF had nothing to do in both these cases.

I dislike this old fart deeply, but the IMF usually applies one size fits all to any country, under any circumstance. This being said, if they were gone, who would provide relief to countries under economic problems? And then, would this new institution apply recipes which are any different than those of the IMF?

I don’t know, when you start to add up all the many problems that a President needs to deal with, and then you throw in him trying to satisfy his billionaire tech enablers by buying a couple of other countries, while California burning reinforces the urgency of climate change preparedness, you have to wonder if a 78 year old infantile brain is up to it all?
