- However, this feature could be inconvenient for users accustomed to quickly accessing 2FA codes through Phone Link on their computers.
Interestingly, some Android devices, specifically those where Phone Link is preinstalled and has a “Companion Device Role,” are exempt from this notification-hiding feature. This includes certain Samsung phones running One UI 6.1.1. Unfortunately, Google Pixel and Nothing Phones are not on the list of exempt devices, as highlighted by Windows Central.
In a workaround proposed by Mishaal Rahman, users can disable “Enhanced Notifications” in Android 15 settings to override the feature. However, this action does come with consequences. Disabling Enhanced Notifications also disables features like reply suggestions, and it may expose your notifications to potentially harmful apps once again.
