In the West, crooked bankers are above the law.

In the US, thieving bankers are protected. It doesn't matter what the crime is. They have full immunity of the law. In China, corrupt bankers are arrested, jailed or executed. That's the difference between China and the rest. Zero tolerance!

From what I gather online, China initiated a large crackdown on banks and insurer due to corruption within the industry. It appears some of these arrest are due to bribing, hiding money overseas, even bad mouthing Xi.

You mean the Chinese government actually investigates bankers committing crimes instead of taking money from them like in the US?
Sounds good.

- by: @glenwjohnson809

If that happens in the US it's "National Security" but in China it's bad.

Honest question. How bad is this compared to when industry heads have to appear before the US Congress? For example, I recall Senator Warren wasn't too kind with Chase CEO Dimon and Senator Cotton was pretty harsh on TikTok CEO Chew.

CHINA IS NOT GOING TO PUT UP CASINO CAPITALISM. THEY ARE DONE WITH EXPERIMENTAL WESTERN STYLE SPECULATION, BOBBLES AND BOOMS AND BURST CIRCLES. THIS IS WHY THE ARE ALLOWING THEIR REAL ESTATE SECTOR TO SELF IMPLODE SO EVERYONE IN CHINA CAN AFFORD TO BUY A HOME.THEY BELIEVE EVER CHINESE CITIZEN SHOULD ENJOY THEIR NATIONS PROSPERITY NOT ONLY THE RICH. THIS IS WHAT A RESPONSIBLE GOVERNMENT DOES.
