Trump's statement is 100% accurate, for you uninformed. Dick Cheney encouraged George Bush to enter into the war against Iraq over a "weapons of mass destruction" claim that was never substantiated, and probably fabricated. Dick Cheney resigned as Halliburton CEO when he became vice president. Halliburton received the 7 billion dollar contract to rebuild Iraq at the end of the Iraq war. It is a fair assumption that Cheney, as the CEO of Halliburton before he resigned, owned a large amount of stock in Halliburton due to stock options. The whole thing stunk as a conflict of interest at the time. So yes, once again, Trump is correct.
