Las Vegas Realtors, catering to almost 16,000 agents, faced a tumultuous 2024 marred by controversies and internal conflicts that have raised questions about the association’s credibility.

Amidst the ongoing chaos, the unexpected resignations of President Merri Perry and President-Elect Joshua Campa have added another layer of uncertainty to the organization.

In a video released to the members, President-Elect George Kypreos acknowledged the challenges faced by the association. He emphasized the need for transparency, accountability, and a commitment to improving the organization’s operation.

Looking back at the events of 2024, Kypreos noted that the focus had shifted from ethical practices to power struggles and egos within the association. In response to this, he pledged to put an end to distractions and controversies that have plagued the organization’s progress.

While the exact reasons for the resignations of Perry and Campa remain undisclosed, Campa addressed the speculation surrounding his departure. He cited a toxic environment, personal attacks, and struggles related to his sexual orientation as key factors that led to his decision.

Despite the challenges faced, Campa expressed support for Kypreos, acknowledging the need for a united and qualified team to drive the association forward.

Kypreos outlined a recovery plan that includes a review of the election process, emphasizing ethical standards, respecting volunteers’ efforts, and prioritizing qualifications over popularity when appointing new leaders.

The trouble for Las Vegas Realtors began with a physical altercation at a brokers forum, followed by election interference claims during the appointment of new officers and board members.

The organization faced further scrutiny when emails revealed potential interference in the election process by top leaders, leading to suspensions and resignations within the association.

In the wake of these challenges, President-Elect George Kypreos calls for unity, transparency, and a renewed focus on ethical practices to restore the organization’s reputation.

As Las Vegas Realtors navigate through this tumultuous period, it remains crucial for members to come together, support the leadership, and work towards a shared vision for the future of the association.
