Honestly more people need to start openly expressing that were tired of evasion answers and we wont continue to accept them.
I don't really care what side of whatever party any one is on or not.
Lawyers do it, regular people do it, politicians especially do it.
I don't think anything they said here was necessarily a lie but the truth without actually saying anything meaningful.
More or possibly most people would have been happy with, "The FAA allowed and will continue to allow these drones to fly. It turns out the drones are new advanced tech developed by an aeronautical company, who will not be named to protect them. Statments were not earlier relased because the information was intiallly only disclosed with those who needed to know."
Then follow it up with some kind of evidence; paper from the company, high quality image of one theyre afe willing to share, literally anything.
Of course if thats actually the truth.
If not then same style answer for whateve the truth really is.
Sure we dont know exactly the males and models and whatever else but at least we now have a legitimate answer. Not a "we know but not going to tell you" like always

In case you can't figure this out it means "It's Classified", probably military, looking for something or maybe an exercise that needed to be performed in a heavily populated area. At least we now know why they didn't shoot one down.
Being authorized by the FAA I don't know why they couldn't have disclosed this sooner.
