All California high schools must offer a personal finance class starting the 2027-28 school year

I think that this is a great idea. I remember when I was taking some college courses and I took a business course which briefly went into personal finance and I remember feeling like that was way too late in the course of my education. I know if i had learned those kinds of financial skills earlier, I would have made better decisions with a more logical approach in my daily finances. It also helps in showing the skills to accomplish personal goals and the work that it will take to achieve it.
