California government appears to be set to use Dynamic pricing for access to the FasTrak lanes. This means that when a car enters the lanes, the driver does not know what the charges will be, because if other drivers take advantage of the lanes, the charges will go up while the drivers are in the FasTrak lanes. How much? Who knows? How this does not infringe on the Right to Travel is a mystery for another day. The bottom line is that anyone on a budget of any kind will find themselves stuck in the no mans land of the right hand lanes. This is Social Engineering, if you can’t pay you don’t play. The real world result is People who pay taxes so that the government can and will provide services that are necessary for daily life, find that they are playing budget roulette to access those same services that they are supposedly financing. Dynamic pricing adds to this insult by its capricious and somewhat callous pricing scheme. How about we keep the extra lanes they are now building and forget about turning 80 into the Autobahn for those with no budget to cruise between SF and Sacramento while the commoners are parked in the right lanes.

The statist's view: everything is either imperative or forbidden. Or both at the same time.
They forced everyone onto highways with auto industry-government collusion, but attack the Amish.
All that matters is obedience. -

It's all underwritten by Globalists fearing that there are too many people using up too many resources. And since they couldn't cut the world's population, they had to focus on consumption.
The most important consumption to restrict is energy, fossil fuel energy in particular, because there is a finite amount of it on earth.
So the Globalists invented the religion of Global Warming, and sold it to the UN under the guise of Sustainable Development, and to do that, they had to group it with other worthwhile causes like curbing poverty and hunger. But you will note that only lip service is being given to hunger and poverty, and everything is about Climate Change and stopping people from using fossil fuel so that the elites will have enough for themselves and their descendants. -

Cars carry an average of 1.3 people when the capacity is for 5. All that space being used Up, every city clogged with parked cars. That's a problem. Plus they're getting wider and heavier

Socialists hate succeses of other people. But during more than a century of repeated tries they lost in the end. This time, they are trying to make sucesful people unhappy in any way they can think of.

It's not the case that they dislike modern conveniences and cars, it's the case that they only want them available to themselves, and not for you.

If they want cars off the road give corporations tax benefits for letting employees work from home when possible. It worked so well during the lockdowns oil prices went negative, that's a huge drop in oil use. Most traffic jams are during rush hour, so let people work from home.

War on common people's transport has been going on since 911. Bush started it, Obama and Biden embraced it. It started with the TSA.

The truth is that they want regular people to have it as hard as possible. They don't dislike automobiles or modern conveniences, but they don't want us to have them.

I live in Vancouver Canada. We have two bridges to connect with the city. They are a parking lot from 3 – 6 pm So thete was a lot of talk about a third bridge. What i found incredulous was the mayors saying no. No why? Because it will be full of cars. This was about 10 years ago. But lets build more condos to sell. Lets pack the humans into a small space. 😢

Forcing people to find alternative methods of transportation? That's a joke. America missed the boat by allowing the rail system to become the laughing stock of the world. Bus's and those infrastructures are a joke. Gosh the lunacy never ends. Where's my flying car?

My company has 30 vehicles, mostly trucks. My family has 6 vehicles. Every single vehicle I own gets better fuel milage, and less emissions produced per mile traveled, when driving the speed limit, as opposed to standing still in traffic because road improvements has not kept up with population growth. My state has one of the highest fuel taxes in the nation, and the area where i live and do business is in the top 10 of traffic congestion. Time to bring logic to government.
